Popular with celebrities, skin re-surfacers and chemical skin peels offer a far more effective solution to targeting the deeper layers of your skin and addressing your concerns than high street products. Individually tailored to you, the techniques and chemicals used will specifically target your concerns and the deeper layers of your skin. Suitable for all skin concerns.
Salicylic acid skin peels are an effective treatment for acne-prone and congested (oily) skin. The peels are based on salicin, which has long been valued for its medicinal and antibacterial properties. It can also reduce pain, fever and inflammation. The acid solution breaks down the oils and fats (lipids) in the outer layers of skin, and has a cleansing effect on clogged pores. Because it only works on the epidermis, damage is more superficial and recovery time is therefore quicker. Salicylic acid skin peels may also help to reduce scarring as well as fine lines and wrinkles.
Medical-strength skin peels will address the following skin concerns: uneven skin pigmentation, brown spots, age spots, melasma, rough or uneven skin texture, sun damage, acne, acne scars, fine lines and wrinkles, rosacea, superficial blood vessel damage and pre-cancerous growths.
Skin peels are suitable for various areas, including: face, eyelids, neck, décolletage, bald head, torso, hands, arms and legs.
The strength of the peel solution affects the depth of the treatment and the degree of exfoliation.
Mild
Superficial peels penetrate the top layer of the skin known as the Stratum Corneum. A mild peel will instantly refresh the skin, cleanse pores, soften fine lines, improve skin texture and superficial pigmentary changes such as age spots.
Medium
Medium-strength skin peels penetrate the full level of the epidermis including the basal layer (Stratum Basale). These peels will resurface sun damaged skin, improve on texture roughness, large pores, dullness, fine lines and wrinkles, acne scarring and most pigmentation disorders.
Full-strength
Full-strength peels penetrate past the papillary dermis into the reticular dermis. These deeper treatments are effective in improving on pronounced hyperpigmentation, deep acne scarring, thickened and sun-damaged skin as well as resistant lines and wrinkles.

Chemical Peels Facial Aftercare Advice
- Depending on the peel being used, you will be given a priming cream to apply every day for a few days before treatment.
- With many of the peels you will also be given a special cream to use concurrently with your peel treatments optimising the effects of the peel.
- After treatment with any of our peels, you must avoid sun exposure for 3-4 weeks.
- You need to use a sun protection factor cream every day for several weeks after the chemical peel, as you should anyway throughout the year.
- After any of the peels, your skin will be red and flaky for a few days afterwards, and in the case of the easy TCA peel, your skin will peel off after 3-5 days. So with the procedure on a Monday, your skin will peel during the week, whereas a Wednesday procedure will mean that you peel over the weekend.
- In the case of the ICP peel, you should remove the ICP mask after 2-8 hours after the peel, as instructed at the clinic.
